Description

The Woolly Bugger Mk2 is an adapted version of the original bugger pattern designed specifically for edge feeders in Tasmanian lakes. But that said, it works in all number of environments, and even delivers results up on the mainland too. Trout don’t have a GPS.

Like the original pattern, the Woolly Bugger Mk2 provides a pulsating movement in the water and imitate many insects including dragon fly and damsel nymphs as well as crayfish and leeches. The big difference is the bright orange trigger point that is added to the tail which just sets something off in the fish’s mind. Woolly Bugger flies can be drifted, stripped and fished in very small sizes to through to larger larger sizes. Because of their materials they provide superb motion from the marabou that often triggers a strike from predatory trout. When they are chasing fry on the edge of lakes the Woolly Bugger Mk2 is ideal for getting their attention, offering maximum action and visual glare, with minimum movement.

Supplied in lots of six (6) flies per hook size.

Of course, if you want to tie this pattern yourself, Troutlore offers a complete materials kit for this pattern. You can find the ‘TieYourOwn’ kit for the Woolly Bugger MK2 here .

All flies sold at Troutlore are tied by hand in Australia by Rob from Troutlore, or designated tyers for specific patterns who are noted in the descriptions.
