Description

The Chubby Chernobyl is not the fly you go to match any hatch that exists in this reality. But, if big, bold and ugly is on the menu, this attractor pattern can get the job done. Loosely speaking, it is a bit of a hopper imitation. In reality, it is a lot of foam and plenty of legs. And this fly gets the fish’s attention when they are taking big terrestrials.

The colour combination, along with the movement of the legs makes the Chubby Chernobyl stand out on the water in the fish’s eye. This presents a very different snack to what they continually see float past. The high wing makes for easy sighting on the water. So, combine the high visibility and high floatation of this pattern/ It makes an ideal attractor to hang a big nymph under. It floats, really well.

Tied on quality Daiichi hooks, these are not only sharp, but they a tough. Hooks that will hold your fish until you get it to the net.

Supplied in lots of six (6) flies per hook size.

Of course, if you want to tie this pattern yourself, Troutlore offers a complete materials kit for this pattern. You can find the ‘TieYourOwn’ kit for Chubby Chernobyl – Pink & Purple here.
