Description

The Blowtorch is a widely successful fly pattern designed by Devin Olsen. Here’s a man that really doesn’t need an introduction, and if you’ve not heard of him, you might need to pay more attention to what’s been going on in modern fly fishing techniques. Or just look at the results of Team USA in international fly fishing competition.

This is Grant’s version of the Blowtorch, which has the same good mix of buggy features and a bright hotspot that help getting fish to eat it, just like the original. I can honestly say that this fly has, for me, caught more fish that trees. At least, it will be a pretty close race. Those trees do get hungry. However, get some of these in you fly box today and see just how hungry the fish can get when a Blowtorch Nymph is drifted by them.
