Description

Whilst most fly tying shops don’t sell woodchuck fur, we have endeavoured to ensure a continuous supply for all the fly tyers in Australia. Nature’s Spirit Woodchuck fur, or marmot hair, is a naturally soft fur, of exceptional quality of the genus Marmota Monax. It makes an excellent dubbing material for a real buggy, spiky look. At the same time, woodchuck fur is sought after for certain classic patterns that call for the use of woodchuck in wings and tails on dry flies to make use of the natural colour variation in the tips of the fur. If you don’t want to settle for a substitute, get the real thing.

Nature’s Spirit Philosophy: To provide fine quality, natural fly tying materials in order to achieve the highest possible level of customer satisfaction. Nature’s Spirit value means more prime tying material for your tying dollar.  Many of their materials are hand selected and/or graded for specific tying purposes.  This means that each feather is examined for quality and that each piece of hair is graded for its optimum tying application. Stop wasting money and time sorting through waste material and start tying better, more beautiful flies more efficiently with Nature’s Spirit.

Each piece is roughly 2 1/2 ” by 3″.

Sale is for one single item, as pictured, although actual colour varies slightly between pieces.
