Description

HMH Micro Tubing is very thin in diameter and is ideally suited for trout flies or small steelhead flies. Because it is not as ridgid as other sizes of tubing, HMH Tube Fly Micro Tubing is best used in shorter lengths as well. It is great for patterns like a marabou mini leech and small baitfish patterns.

This Tube Fly Micro Tubing works well with standard sized bead heads and coneheads. Use a lighter to flare the end to keep the bead or cone from sliding off.

Compatible for use with their Pre-Cut Metal, Large Rigid Plastic, and semi-flexible Large Poly Tubes alike, HMH’s Regular Wall Micro-Tubing is perfect for nesting your own bottle-type tube fly creations. Conveniently sized to fit through most any manufacturer’s standard-tapped fly tying beads or cones, and easily flared or rounded by quickly licking the cut-ends with a lighter or candle flame, HMH’s versatile Micro-Tubing comes packaged in generous 36 inch continuous coils, color is Clear.

The Thick-Wall Micro tubing (requires .031″ diameter pin) is tough enough to tie small patterns, like small streamers or big nymphs, directly on the tubing.

To use as a liner, first tie your tube fly. Take a length of Micro Tubing and heat one end with a flame so that it swells to nearly twice the diameter. Insert the micro tubing from the rear end of the fly and out through the front. Trim the Micro Tubing about 1/16? longer than the fly and flame the end so that it swells and won’t come out.
