Description

Hareline Dazzle Brass Beads are countersunk to facilitate sliding around the hook bend. The advantage of the Dazzle brass beads over teh regular Hareline Brass Beads is the color options, with some strikingly bright colors to choose from, you can have something that both sticks out AND adds weight to your fly.

We love tying with Hareline Dazzle Brass Beads for a range of reasons. Firstly, brass is much tougher than tungsten and so will not get smashed about and leave you without a bead on your hook. They last. And whilst they add weight to your fly, brass beads don’t hit the surface with as much force as tungsten so it doesn’t spook the fish as easily.

Of course, if you want to achieve depth as quickly as possible in faster water, tungsten is the go. But for most bead head nymph and streamer applications, brass beads do the job, with a slower sink rate that keeps the fly in the mid section of the water column for longer. And they catch fish.

Plus, you can run a pair of these off an indicator without the excessive weight dragging the indicator below the surface and causing you to miss strikes. Add weight, and a lot of flash and catch more fish!

Uses: Adding weight and color to flies, can be used on streamers and nymphs

Comparisons: Very similar to other brass beads, these ones come in many bright dazzling colors.

Example flies: CDC nymph, Woolly Bugger, Pheasant Tail Nymph
