Description

The Daiichi 1310 short shank fly fishing hook has a round bend, down eye, 1X short shank; Uses: standard dry flies with wide gape, short-bodied dry flies. This model was special developed for  Mouche Devaux  and is considered one of the best dry fly hook for duns and spinners.

We love tying with short shank hooks as it allows you to go one size larger than you normally would for a specific size. The result is a stronger hook for the size along with a wider gape to suit. When you would usually tie a size 14, a size 12 gives you the same size fly body, but increases the hook gape size.
