Description

Introducing the Chuck’N’Duck Hare & Squirrel Dubbing in the new Tasmanian Chocolate colour. This dubbing blend has been created exclusively for the us at Troutlore, for the Australian market. That’s right, the Poms aren’t getting their mitts on this one. They’ll be left to see the results on social media, from afar. I’m sure it’ll be something else to whinge about, after The Ashes.

But I can’ go on too much. After all, the blending boffin Andy McClelland was kind enough to bring this one together to meet our needs. And we need to keep him friendly so he’ll do further batches in the future. But for now, we have plenty available in this dark chocolate brown dubbing that is a staple for many Australian nymph patterns. We can see this being a great Dubbing for a lot of different nymphs, except British ones!

This has the same soft texture as all the other Hare & Squirrel dubbing options, with a colour mix that is ideal for many Australian nymph patterns. Have a look at the photos and you’ll see how it picks up different shades in different light.

The all new Hare & Squirrel Dyed Dubbing offers that combination of a soft and a spikey Dubbing which has been blended to give you that perfect buggy body. This is such a nice blend and the quality on both Hare & Squirrel is top-shelf. We hope you enjoy this as much as you enjoy the Natural and Blended Hare & Squirrel Dubbing. Perfect for any Nymph Thorax to give them a really buggy look, or going all out on the entire body. With a tailing feather, and some copper wire, you can build a killer nymph with nothing more than just this dubbing. Throw in a little flash on the wing case, or a bead head and it increases the options, especially with the big range of colours available.

Each pack contains approximately 1 gram of dubbing.

Chuck’N’Duck are located just out of Belfast and have developed a quality range of fly tying materials that we are proud to offer here in Australia. Andy from Chuck’N’Duck says their mission is to provide top quality tying materials to put you that one step closer to catching that prized fish. He has a passion for dubbing, which is why a Troutlore and Chuck’N’Duck partnership was a no brainer. It takes a special kind of person to want to spend all day mixing hair, fur and synthetics in the chase for the next great blend. That’s why we are happy to offer a product created from the creative mind of Andy McClelland.  He doesn’t sell any materials that he wouldn’t use himself.

We love dubbing

At Troutlore we have a love for dubbing. Yes, little bags of fluff and synthetic, that’s the stuff. We just love it. That is why we are always adding to our range of dubbing that we offer to Australian fly tiers. We believe that we have the largest range of dubbing and dubbing brushes available in Australia. There are so many colours and varieties, you should always be able to find the right dub for your bug.

Of course, if you want to create your own dubbing brush creations, we stock more dubbing than you’ll ever need, all of it can be found sorted by brand in the Dubbing Category of the Troutlore Fly Tying Store. We also keep stock of UNI dubbing brush wire. Plus we have the Stonfo Dubbing Brush Device and Turbo Spinner to help you build your own brushes. If you can’t find a product you are specifically looking for, get in touch, We will see if it can be sourced, and kept in stock.
