The Brita Fordice Squid TieYourOwn Kit is the next fly tying kit that Troutlroe are offering in conjunction with April Vokey and Anchored Outdoors. Each month, premium members of the Anchored Outdoors site can get involved in a live online fly tying class with April as she takes members through a variety of classic fly patterns that anyone can tie.

If you somehow don’t know of April Vokey, you’ve probably been living under a rock, one of the very few rocks around the world that she has yet to turn over in her fishing, hunting and outdoor adventures. She has changed the face of fly fishing in a modern world and is now offering a brilliant resource of outdoor education content through the new site Anchored Outdoors. This is a complete tying kit with all the materials required to tie 8 of these monster flies in this killer squid fly pattern. Plus, there will be lots left over, so additional hooks and heads can be added at a later date to get even more flies from these materials.

This squid pattern by Brita Fordice is big, it’s bold and it will get attention with all it’s movement in the water.

This pattern will be featured in the November 2020 fly tying class on the Anchored Outdoors site. But you can tie it anytime! The materials offered in this kit are more than enough to tie your way through the pack of Ahrex hooks that is included.  Of course, there are links to all the products in case you only need to add a few items to your existing kit in order to take part in tying this pattern.
