Description

The Black & Blue Perdigon is Grant’s take on a popular Euro Nymph pattern that has seen many guises. In Spanish “Perdigon” means pellet, so this gives you some idea as to how the fly performs. No, it’s not the fly to use at the trout farm, fishing for pellet feeders, but rather the one to fish when you need it to go down fast. The flies fall through the water column extremely quickly and has minimal resistance in the water, mainly due to the thin body embedded in UV resin and the absence of legs and body from dubbing.

The Black & Blue Perdigon offers a slim body that gets down through the water column fast, a flashy rib and a bright orange hot spot to catch the fish’s eye make this a ‘go to’ fly for many fishing Euro style techniques, but is equally as deadly fished in a more conventional ‘dry dropper’ rig.
