Veniard Lead Wire is the most traditional way to weight a fly. Wrap the shank with some lead wire before applying other materials, and keep it hidden. Veniard lead wire is supplied on spools for convenience and is available in 2 diameters 0.4mm (Fine) and 0.6mm (Medium)
