Veniard Fox Squirrel Tail

Veniard Fox Squirrel Tail offers soft, fine hair for wings on medium and large sized wet flies, streamers and nymphs. This is a longer hair than is found on the smaller grey tails, the Fox Squirrel Tail offers a more reddish/tan/brown hue and is better suited to used in sltwater fly patterns due to the longer hair length. Hair averages 3-5cm with some longer stuff found at the tip.

Squirrel Tails are popular material for wings and tails in many salmon flies and saltwater patterns. The hair is straight and finely tapered, with natural variety between browns, reds, tans, and blacks in every tail. It is a very slick hair and stacks easily in a hair stacker. Extremely soft, highly mobile with a pulsating action.
