UTC Mirage Tinsel - Opal

UTC Mirage Tinsel Opal is a very versatile material that is not transparent and features a multi-colored mirror finish. Mirage Opal Tinsel can be used for ribbing as well as a variety of different bodies.

One of the most interesting uses is for tying “flashbacks” into nymph patterns. For this, tie in a strip of Tinsel on the top of the pattern after completion of the abdomen, then finish the desired thorax and legs, then pull the tinsel over the top of the thorax and tie it off into the head. This creates a wonderful finish to a variety of nymph patterns. 

UTC Mirage Tinsel Opal is a great material for Flashback Nymph's back material or ribbing material for flies which need some extra flash.
