Dr Graham Hosie has dedicated most of his life to studying marine organisms. That included more than 30 years focused on understanding the ecology of zooplankton and krill, and their role in the Antarctic marine ecosystem. He participated on 17 expeditions to the Antarctic, many as voyage leader and chief biologist.

When he wasn't busy dodging icebergs, peering down microscopes, working with research organizations, and raising a family, he could be found staring out the window on a nice day wondering why he wasn't fishing.

He is now the biologist, Master Flyfisher, and Fly Tier at Currawong Lakes - very happy.
