"Simplicity and complexity all turned upside down." That's what one seasoned reviewer said about Simon's Jig Shrimp, tied by Simon Ellis of Rivulet Flyfishing. And that about sums it up, a fly that looks relatively simple at first glance, yet it has a lot going on, and the fish appreciate this. A tan toned shrimp pattern with la ong slender profile offering plenty of movement at the rear with the inclusion of two-tone, barred rubber legs.
This fly works well for Bream, Estuary Perch, Bass, Trout and just about any other species that will eat a shrimp or small prawn pattern.
Simon's Jig Shrimp is tied with a tungsten bead on a Gamakatsu Jig Hook, for deep presentations, with the hook point riding up.
Now sold as single units per hook size. Buy as few or as many as you like!
Of course, if you want to tie this pattern yourself, Troutlore offers all the quality materials for this and many other patterns.
Rivulet Flyfishing offer a unique range of Australian made flies tied in Tasmania by Simon Ellis. OK, so we call the Australian made, even though he's a pom, but Simon's been here long enough to earn an honorary title.
They are well renowned for their high level of consistency and quality, and every fly in the range is a proven fish catcher. Tied using quality hooks, beads and materials, this range of flies is sure to impress.
