Ozzy Native Flies Grappling Frog Popper Kit

The Ozzy Native Flies Grappling Frog Popper is a compact version of Ben's innovative design that takes full advantage of the new PR378 from Ahrex. NOW, this new model incorporates a clever design to join and fan out two of these hoods to increase the chance of connecting properly when a big cod boofs your surface fly. 

Of course, this is no simple process, Ben has created a special system of custom made shanks and hand shaped popper heads to install into the Grappling Hook Frog Popper. We are now able to offer these kits in limited numbers for those wanting to tie their own!

Kits are supplied with :

5 x Custom Popper Heads
5 x Custom Y Shanks
5 x Custom Jig Shanks

Kits are designed for use with AHREX PR378 Hooks in Size #1 or #2.  (Hooks sold separately) With ten hooks per pack, that matches up to the set to allow five flies to be created.

Instructions on tying this fly will be available in FlyLife Magazine Issue 120 (released Spring 2025). A flytying tutorial video will be available soon too.
