Veniard Osprey VH131 Nymph Hooks are the perfect hook for a classic Copper John. With a 1x strong wire they are plenty tough, and the 2x long shank allows for beads to be used and still have plenty of space to create a body taper and fill out a well proportioned thorax. Just about any bead head nymph will feel at home on this, as well as long unweighted mafly nymphs, and cased caddis pattern.
Presented in a Light Bronze finish that has a touch of yellow/gold, it's got 'vintage hook' written all over it.
Veniard Osprey Fly Hooks have proven to be a popular hook for the fly tyer on a budget. Yet, they still offer a solid frame, in a classically-styled hook with a big barb. Of course, that can be pinched down if you so wish. Made in Korea
