Hareline Half Cape options are great value in fly tying hackle feathers. These quality half capes have great feathers for everything from wings and hackle on bass poppers to wings on warmwater streamers and saltwater flies, and right down to dry fly hackles on big trout terrestrials.
We love using them for feather wings on tarpon flies and bass streamers and divers. They have many uses when tying salmon and steelhead flies as well. While not technically "dry fly" capes, there are a number of stiffer hackle feathers on each cape that would be excellent for smaller to large dry flies.
Hareline half rooster capes represent one of the best values on rooster hackle feathers in the fly tying market and are available in a ton of beautiful grizzly dyed and solid colors.
There is a wide selection of feathers on each of the patches. From lateral lines, long, legs with plenty of movement in the thin feathers, bodies and tails in the thicker feathers and bulk from the schlappen underneath, these have plenty going on. Plus, you can use them for palmered hackles on Woolly Worms and there are even a bunch of feathers in each half saddle that are ideal for larger dry flies. Plus, there are a range of carp flies, including the Carp Torch, which can be tied with these Hareline Half Cape feathers.
Available in a range of natural and eyewateringly bright colours.
