Our Coq De Leon tailing feathers are packaged from quality CDL feathers that deliver a fibre which is Speckled, Long And Stiff. The Coq de Leon are the oldest line of birds bred for their feathers, with this breeding being adopted in the USA no to created greater volumes of feathers for the fly tying market. The feathers are stiff, beautiful and long with speckled markings and have a unique glossy sheen. Mainly used for trout fly tying, these feathers are prized by fly tyers all over the world.

But it is not just dry flies that these feathers are sought after for. Euronymph fishers have found great use for CDL feathers in the tails on nymphs such as Perdigons and other slim bead heads. The stiffness is just right to enable a very fine tail without the need to bulk up the fibers, so very little is needed on each fly.

Approximately 6 feathers per pack.
Approximately 10 – 14 cm in length x 1.5 cm in width
Common material for tying nymphs
Great for dry fly tailing fibers

Sale is for one pack, similar to that pictured
