The Shipman's Buzzer is a popular midge fly pattern, particularly for trout in stillwater and slower-flowing rivers. It's designed to mimic the emerging stage of chironomids, so it acts like a buzzer that's stuck in the film. This pattern was created by Dave Shipman in the late 1970s in the UK, and here we are, in the mid 2020s in Rushworth, tying it still!
