The Sexy Walt's fly is a modern spin on the 1984 classic nymph pattern, Walt's Worm, an incredibly simple yet highly effective fly fishing nymph. Created in Pennsylvania by Walt Young, the simple pattern effectively imitates a variety of aquatic insects like cranefly larvae and caddis grubs.
Tied here with a pink bead and thread for added pop, this fly sinks fast, has a good amount of flash, and creates a realistic silhouette that fish cannot turn down. A proven fish-catcher in competition Euronymphing, it works well in all forms of tight line nymphing, as well as a dropper nymph beneath a dry fly.
