It’s everything you want in a patch of fly tying hair: straightness, length, even tips and without any excessive flaring. We can confidently say that these patches of deer hair are free from any un-shed winter guard hairs, a real nuisance when stacking your hair. We know these Select Deer Hair patches are free from this guard hair because Rob goes through every single patch by hand, preening the hair and plucking out all unwanted guard hairs with tweezers. It takes a while, but I am confident in offering this deer hair to you after it goes through the process.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOur Select Deer hair offers just the right stiffness and compression, being fine enough to not offer too much flaring for the perfect Stimulator wing, hopper body or caddis.
